POSITION OPENING

Watauga County Tax Department is accepting applications for License Tag Specialist.  Duties include processing vehicle registrations and titles; preparing and processing passport applications and all related information; preparing reports; and assisting the public.  Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school supplemented by business courses and some experience involving public contact in an automated environment is required.  Must possess a Notary Public commission or be able to obtain one within a reasonable amount of time.  County benefit package includes health insurance, paid holidays, vacation and sick leave.  Salary grade 5, $31,939.  Application deadline is Monday, September 30, 2019.  Apply at NC Works Career Center, 130 Poplar Grove Connector, Boone, NC 28607, (828) 265-5385.  Watauga County is an EEOE.
