The Watauga Humane Society and Watauga Animal Control have merged. If you have an animal to turn in please contact the Watauga Humane Society at 828-264-7865. All animals are now housed at the Watauga Humane Society located at 312 Paws Way, Boone, NC. Humane Society hours are Tuesday-Friday 12:30pm-6:00pm, Saturday and Sunday 12:30pm-5:00pm.
Mission Statement:
The Watauga County Department of Animal Care and Control is responsible for investigating animal cruelty, enforcing existing animal control laws, and managing stray animals.
